I offer psychotherapy for youth ages 16+, adults, and couples supporting clients in RichmondHill, Markham, Thornhill and online across Ontario. My approach is warm, collaborative, non-pathologizing, and grounded in the belief that the challenges we face often make sense within the larger story of our lives.
Rather than seeing people as “broken” or defined by a diagnosis, I work with clients to understand the parts of themselves that may be carrying pain, guilt, regret, anger, shame, grief,or self-doubt. Therapy can become a space to slow down, listen inward, and develop more compassion toward the parts of you that have been working hard to help you survive, cope, or prevent being hurt.
is a compassionate, non-pathologizing approach that helps clients understand the different “parts” of themselves — such as the part that worries, the perfectionist part, the part that avoids, the part that people-pleases, or the part that feels you are not good enough.
A central part of IFS is helping clients reconnect with what the model calls Self-energy— the calm, compassionate, curious, and grounded qualities that can sometimes feel harder to access during challenging times when we get triggered by our environment. In our work together, we may explore how to relate to your inner world with more clarity and care, so that even the parts of you carrying anxiety, worry, anger, guilt, or protection can be better understood rather than judged.
I do not believe therapy should be about labelling you. I believe therapy should help you better understand yourself and relate to yourself with more compassion, honesty, and care.
Clients may reach out for psychotherapy for many different reasons. I provide support for concerns such as:
Anxiety, stress, and emotional overwhelm
ADHD support, including diagnosed or self-diagnosed ADHD
Anger management and emotional regulation
Relationship stress and communication challenges
Couples therapy and conflict patterns
Narcissistic abuse recovery and emotionally difficult relationships
Self-esteem, shame, guilt, and self-criticism
Life transitions and identity questions
Infidelity
Burnout, work stress, and caregiver stress
Grief, loss, and loneliness
Feeling stuck, disconnected, or unsure of yourself
Spiritual, existential, or meaning-related concerns
You do not need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Many clients begin simply knowing that something feels heavy, confusing, repetitive, or difficult to carry alone.
Psychotherapy is not a crisis or emergency service. If you are in immediate danger or require urgent medical support, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department.
If you are in Canada and thinking about suicide or need immediate emotional support, pleasecall or text 988, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
